Community Summary

An oasis of greenspace within the GTA, the rolling hills of the Oak Ridges Moraine are the most prominent visible geographical feature of King. The Holland Marsh, often referred to as Ontario's King Township Town Hall, located in King City."vegetable basket", straddles King Township and Bradford West Gwillimbury. King is known for its forests, trails, horse and cattle farms...all within close proximity to Pearson International Airport and Downtown Toronto.

While predominantly rural, King's residents are concentrated in the communities of King City, Nobleton, and Schomberg. Also within King Township are the smaller hamlets of Kettleby, Pottageville, Snowball, Lloydtown, and Ansnorveldt.

Public schools are administered by the York Region District School Board and the York Catholic District School Board. King City Secondary School is the only public secondary school in King. A private Catholic high school, St. Thomas of Villanova College, and private secular high school, The Country Day School, are also located in King Township.

Seneca College owns a campus located in the northeastern portion of King Township.
