June 5, 2012 - May, 2012 sales figures, released today by the Toronto Real Estate Board, reflect continued market strength - particularly in the "905" region.

Overall, the 10,850 transactions represented an 11% increase over May, 2011.

The average selling price rose 6.5% to $516,787.

New listings rose 20% to 19,177 - a substantial increase on a year-over-year basis, but not when viewed in the context of monthly sales of nearly 11,000.
